In addition to having been a popular writing reference instructor and writer, professional blurbologist and freelance editor, Karen Wiesner is the accomplished author of 150 titles published, which have been nominated/won for over a 130 awards. Karen’s books cover such genres as women’s fiction, romance, mystery/police procedural/cozy, suspense, thriller, paranormal, supernatural, futuristic, fantasy, science fiction, gothic, inspirational/Christian, horror, chick-lit, and action/adventure. She also writes children’s books, poetry, and writing reference titles which have been repackaged in the 3D Fiction Fundamentals Collection. Karen will begin illustrating children's books starting in 2024.

My 2023 accomplishments:
-outlined 2 novels (same as 2022)
-wrote 2 novels (in 2022, I wrote 3 novels and 1 writing reference)
-revised and polished 3 novels (in 2022, I revised and polished 2 novels and 1 writing reference)
-completed editor revisions for 3 novels (in 2022, I did editor revisions for 2 novels and 4 writing reference reissues)
-had 3 novels published (in 2022, I had 2 novels and 4 writing reference reissues published)
-read 266 books (in 2022, I read 142 books so quite a bit of progress there!)

"The hero and heroine of this novel face a genuine problem with no facile, obvious solution. I could hardly wait to find out how they would resolve the conflict between their needs and wishes. They’re both well-developed characters with whom it’s easy to sympathize. The external conflict incited by a malicious co-worker meshes effectively with Blaze and Riley’s marital difficulties. The small-town setting and the cast of engaging secondary characters enrich the story. The reader gets a clear impression of a self-contained world that has been going on since before the novel starts and will continue after it ends, yet HEARTS ABLAZE stands perfectly fine on its own with no need to have read other books in the series. The conclusion struck me as entirely satisfactory even though realistically imperfect.
