5 Stars! "HOME is a heart-wrenching and emotional, inspirational novel. The characters and their experiences are so realistic, it made me think of what's important in life and the consequences of each choice made.” ~Readers' Favorite
5 Stars! “I loved this novel, and I felt sorry for Della, as she was a small city girl thrust into the horror of living in a terrifying big city. I found nothing that I liked about Declan and I often went from hating him to feeling sorry for him, but he was a bully. As for the possibility of Della returning to Peaceful, I couldn't help but smile. The novel was fast-paced, over-the-top, and a joy to read!” ~Linda's Reviews
5 Stars! “HOME by Karen Wiesner is amazing inspirational romantic fiction. It teaches us that no matter what we go through in our lives, God is always there if we trust in Him and pray. HOME was an amazing story! Della Cole with her son, River, must find her way after the sudden, unexpected death of her husband. Danger lurks around every corner, but she must have faith and trust in the Lord.” ~MyBookAddiction Reviews
5 Stars! “HOME is a wonderful inspirational romance in which Karen Wiesner displays her immense talent—and overcame a major pet peeve of mine: that Dec’s death might make everything seem easier for the heroine, but instead Della is haunted by guilt and other debilitating emotions though she logically believes she was doing the right thing. With a late suspense adding tension, fans will enjoy returning to Peaceful (see Family Heirlooms and Friendship Heirlooms Series) as Della affirms you can go home if love embraces you.” ~Genre Go Round Reviews
5 Stars! "Touching! This is a story that will hit home with many who have dealt with the pain and heartache of a broken marriage. Della, the heroine, is a devout believer-a strong woman of faith, and while her whole world falls down around her, she never loses sight that God is in control and will see her through her problems. At times she struggles with letting go, and moving forward in her life, but fortunately she has a wonderful support system in her parent-in-laws, her son, River and Cade, her husband's cousin. This is an inspirational story about second chances in life, and I found myself rooting for Della and hoping that in the end she would find love again." ~Deena Marie Kaylee on Amazon
4 ½ Stars! “Noted for her Christian romance titles, Karen tells the tale of Della Flynn, who has plenty of pent up emotions clouding her judgment, and most of them are about her husband. This novel, like most of Karen’s others’, starts out disastrous, but, as the story moves on, the circumstances of the main female character get better.” ~Love Romance Passion
4 Stars! "Wiesner has the ability to create real to life characters and situations. For readers who enjoy emotional drama, this is a wonderful author with many stories to choose from and enjoy." ~Reviews by Martha’s Bookshelf
4 Stars! “Karen Wiesner writes stories that touch the hearts of her readers. This one is no exception. The character of Della is compassionate and sympathetic. She knows that she has drifted away from God and is striving to find her way back. Della is fiercely protective of her young son and does whatever is needed to ensure his care and safety. I found Della to be a good mother, even though she bowed to all of her husband’s wishes for too long. The son, River, charmed me from the start and is sharp as a tack. I hope to return to the town of Peaceful someday.” ~Huntress Reviews
4 Stars! "An emotional read and a very realistic take on second chances. Beautifully written." ~Single Titles
"A poignant look into heartbreak and turmoil. I loved Della. She was a highly realistic character, one every woman could relate to. Told with a captivating voice and Wiesner's enthralling storytelling abilities, I didn't want to put this book down. Reserve the whole day so you can read this straight through!" ~author Lisa Mills
"This story feels very realistic. It was wrapped up beautifully in the end and made me cry for them. A lovely, heartfelt read.” ~Coffee Time Romance & More
“Della is a strong woman. I think we can all learn something her. Her love and devotion to River is beyond admirable. It drives everything she does. I think she is a true super-mom. Cade is a wonderful and compassionate man. He doesn’t come across as very strong in his faith initially, but we see glimpses of the depth of his faith throughout the book. He also has reasons to not trust and he’s worked through that to the point where he would risk love again. I enjoyed the story and watching each of the characters grown in their capacity to let others in and to trust again. It’s a heartwarming story that brings to light many of the fears that mothers have. Watching Della struggle and then finally succeed was well worth it.” ~Once Upon A Romance
“This inspired story is filled with heartache, regret, guilt, and the promise of starting over. Readers should know upfront that the ending is worth it.” ~RT Book Reviews
DESTINY, Book 2
5 Stars! “It’s very true that sometimes love can be so blind it doesn’t live in the same realm as logic and rationale. The heart knows what it wants and it won’t be denied. In those cases, the people on the outside usually can’t make them see reason because they only know they can’t live without this other person--regardless of how impossible the situation is. DESTINY, with its three-way love triangle, is proof of that. I feared none of them would get a happily ever after. After all they went through, I wanted that for them. If you love characters so realistic, you actually feel like you know them inside and out and can’t be satisfied until each one is in a good place, you’ll want to read DESTINY.” ~Linda's Reviews
5 Stars! “A wonderful inspirational second chance. The latest inspirational visit to Peaceful, Wisconsin (see Family Heirlooms and the Friendship Heirlooms Series) is a wonderful romance starring a lost soul and the love of a woman destined to return him to the flock. The lead couple and Oscar make for a strong tale as love is blind but in this case not in the traditional meaning. Fans will enjoy playing Destiny Poker as Karen Wiesner provides a tender second chance at family, love between soul mates and with the Lord drama.” ~Genre Go Round Reviews
4 ½ Stars! “This story shows that, quite often, what you are desperately searching for in your life has always been there, unseen due to its familiarity. Once again the author, Karen Wiesner, has written an inspirational romance that kept me reading far longer than I should have. (I rescheduled a dentist appointment just so I could finish it.) I would also like to mention that a card game (called Destiny Poker) is played in this story. A small section, in the back of this book, tells how the author came up with the game. Since the idea first came to mind, Discard Poker has been tweaked and refined. This is a stand-alone story. No other book needs to be read to fully enjoy it. The characters have well-developed backgrounds and are so believable that, were they real people, I could have called them my friends. A wonderful story to curl up with on a cold night or take with you on a plane or vacation. Very heartwarming.” ~Huntress Review
4 Stars! “DESTINY is a very good book. As a Christian and a young adult, I could relate to this book on many levels. As humans, when we are on a spiritual level sometimes we find it hard to forgive ourselves when we feel that we have done wrong. I have struggled with that myself. I think Karen Wiesner did a great job of displaying the struggle of a spiritual journey. She also did a great job showing how sometimes our relationships with others can consume us and how we in return, lose ourselves in wanting to be loved. The four main characters, Chris, Elizabeth, Oscar, and Yolie, who are all friends, all have unique stories but their stories blend with each other. All in all, DESTINY is a great story. I would recommend it strongly and encourage all to read this as it can actually help a lot. Karen definitely did a good job of putting a lot of twists and turns in the book, which I loved. The book definitely kept my attention all the way through. If you enjoy real romance novels that not only focus on the good but also show the struggles of relationships and how couples do overcome them, then this is the book for you.” ~Readers' Favorite
4 Stars! “DESTINY was a very nice story. If you like, Christian romances, you’ll like this one. You rooted for the characters to find the peace and love they needed in order to feel whole. There were some serious issues and Chris faces them head-on. You sympathized with the characters and hoped they finally got what they wished for and they’d be happy once they received it. Definitely worth reading.” ~BTS eMag
ONCE UPON A CLICHÉ, Book 3
5 Stars! “Some couples should not have children! I was so angry with Brayla's folks. I wanted to do them harm. It is amazing Brayla reached the age of thirty and hid in her deceased Dad's home to play videogames all day! Her two best friends, Lena Young and Shaun Levi, tried get her out more. At a party, she slept with Shaun when they were drunk. I was impressed with Shaun, as it was clear he wanted to take their relationship further, but Brayla was clueless given that she’d never known about love. Even her parents and aunt never gave her any. I am glad Shaun stuck by her even when she took off for a small town in Alaska in hopes of meeting a Prince Charming. I loved how Brayla finally stood up for herself after she realized she was loved by her friends and accepted by them when no one in her family cared about her.” ~Linda's Reviews
4 Stars! "It is always interesting to me to see a fellow gamer get his or her story told, but this gamer girl is almost detached from reality. Seeing her wake-up call is very entertaining. I read this entire novel in one sitting. That is simple to do since Karen Wiesner has such a smooth writing style that is easy to read. As always, all the characters are likeable and have well developed backgrounds. This author is always very thorough. I like that about her. Some of the characters in the Peaceful series come from the Friendship and Heirlooms series. Therefore, you may see some familiar faces! If you want a book to make your reality to go away, for a few hours on the beach or wherever, this story is perfect for you. Karen Wiesner is making her mark in the romance genre. Books by Wiesner are always so easy to read. They are addictive." ~Huntress Reviews
4 Stars! "A touching, funny story. This very engaging novel does a wonderful job of creating sympathy for a heroine with a heap of emotional problems, whom even her best friends consider unlikable at times. Painful, touching, and humorous moments alternate in a convincingly lifelike way. Genuine suspense about her search for a fulfilling relationship builds in a natural, believable sequence. I rooted for her journey of growth in self-awareness and could hardly put the book down. Although the reader trusts that these two awkward friends will eventually discover their true feelings for each other, there were times when that happy ending seemed almost impossible to imagine. The only change I might wish for is a scene or two where the heroine's friends make an effort to participate in her gaming hobby in order to fully appreciate why she enjoys it so much." ~author Margaret L. Carter
HEARTS ABLAZE, Book 4
5 Stars! “Riley, much younger than her husband Blaze, is an ambitious woman who’s used to getting what she wants. She’s worked hard to advance her career as a flight attendant—now situated in Minnesota--sometimes to the detriment of her marriage to a cop who still lives in their small hometown of Peaceful, Wisconsin. When she finds out that someone she’d befriended in the Human Resources Department of the airline she works for has fudged her resume in order to advance her over more qualified attendants, everything changes. Though initially Riley comes off as a bit spoiled, she does a lot of growing up in this story. I love that Blaze is her solid rock from start to finish, though he’s by no means a wimp. These two go head-to-head often, but it’s part of their magic. This is a swoon-worthy romance for the modern couple.” ~Linda's Reviews
4 Stars! “Come to the small town of Peaceful, Wisconsin. This is where some of the most big-hearted people live, love, and help each other out. I have no doubt that many ladies in the real world have had their own version of an "Alexander" in their lives. However, I do not believe most of them were as mean as Riley's Alexander--assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer at Trouvaille Commercial Airlines, [who] never believed Riley was not interested in having a romantic relationship with him, even though Riley told him every time they met for coffee or meetings that she was not interested in him that way. But now Alexander is a believer, and he has informed Riley that he has done some shady things to help her advance in her career. Alexander goes on to explain that he was going to pin all of it on Riley, making himself seem the victim, and ruin her career forever. Watching Riley, Blaze, and their kin as they deal with all the problems that come their way kept my attention throughout the story, just as watching Riley and Blaze spend some wonderful time together did. If you have not read any of the previous titles, I assure you that each story stands alone. However, it is nice to see the previous main characters of stories have parts as secondary characters in others. It makes me feel as though I actually know these people. Karen Wiesner weaves all their lives together to create a warm and friendly town with some amazing locals in it. I can hardly wait to read more about Peaceful, Wisconsin.” ~Huntress Reviews
"The hero and heroine of this novel face a genuine problem with no facile, obvious solution. I could hardly wait to find out how they would resolve the conflict between their needs and wishes. They’re both well-developed characters with whom it’s easy to sympathize. The external conflict incited by a malicious co-worker meshes effectively with Blaze and Riley’s marital difficulties. The small-town setting and the cast of engaging secondary characters enrich the story. The reader gets a clear impression of a self-contained world that has been going on since before the novel starts and will continue after it ends, yet HEARTS ABLAZE stands perfectly fine on its own with no need to have read other books in the series. The conclusion struck me as entirely satisfactory even though realistically imperfect. Riley may not get what she wanted at first, but both she and Blaze learn and grow through the experience." ~author Margaret L. Carter
A PERFECT MATCH, Book 5
5 Stars! “This story is outstanding. The time flew by as I read, hardly coming up for air. The town of Peaceful is not an existing one. If it were, I would be tempted to move there. It is a small modern-day community with old-fashioned values. (Both the Family and Friendship Heirlooms series’ are set there too.) This particular series, Peaceful Pilgrim, is in no certain order. This means readers do not need to worry about which title to read first. Just pick up a title and enjoy. Characters by Karen Wiesner seem to come alive. I came to care for several of them, especially Lena and Neve. I hated Rick instantly. Wiesner has given him a past that shows how deadly he can be. I found myself actually worried for Lena and Neve--fictional characters. A part of me had become invested in their plight. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this story. Fantastic!” ~Huntress Reviews
5 Stars! “My gosh, I could hardly put this book down! After using his nephew’s newly created online dating service, Dante made me proud for not giving up in humiliated defeat after his juvenile attempt to hook up with a naughty librarian. At the age of 40, Dante’s had enough of his own Don Juan antics and the unsatisfying one-night-stands. He quickly realizes he wants to settle down with Lena, but her abusive brother and his ex-best friend keeps an insanely close eye on her whenever he’s in town. Lena has raised Rick's daughter as her own since she was a baby. Neve is 16 and Lena worries about Rick’s control over her as well. Even after she graduates, how will she break free of his hold, since Lena’s never been able to herself? I found myself rooting for Dante and Lena and Neve to get the happily ever after they deserve.” ~Linda's Reviews

EXILED HEARTS, Book 7
"The 'secret baby' plot is one of my favorite romance tropes, and that situation is set up naturally and credibly in this novel. The hero and heroine are sympathetic yet humanly flawed characters with their hearts in the right place. The story admirably evolves to a believable but not blatantly inevitable warm, satisfying, hard-won conclusion. As a bonus, there's a very intelligent cat!" ~author Margaret L. Carter
