4 Stars! "Bella receives a letter from the mysterious Umbra Law Firm informing her that she has inherited the family house called Angel's Refuge. There were three rules: Keep the house in the family. Never sell it. Never live there. [She and her] friends decide to travel to the area and view the residence. The huge house turns out to be exactly what [they] need for their business. Plans are made. Rules and warnings are ignored.
 
"If this story does not give you occasional chills, then you have nerves of steel. The novel begins with a spooky dream before turning into a tragedy with a potential romance. Once the reader gets the idea of Bella's difficult past and all the hardships she faces, the tale takes off! The story does slow down at times, but only to flesh out the characters. The author has a flair for writing stories that, to my consternation, leave me sitting on the edge of my seat, eagerly reading to see what will happen next. In this one, the past carries over to injure those in the present. Before you begin reading, I suggest you order pizza and make sure you have plenty of lights on." ~Huntress Reviews
