WHAT'S NEW Bloodmoon Cove Spirits Series: Hell Hath No Fury by Karen Wiesner Genre: Paranormal: Ghost Stories/Halloween Romance ISBN: 978-1-922548-70-2 (ebook); 9798230560500 (print) ASIN: B0DQ419T42 Word Count: 128,857 Nestled on Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin is a small, secluded town called Bloodmoon Cove with volatile weather, suspicious folk...and newly awakened ghosts. Don't close your eyes... Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... Just out of college, Belladonna Mateo has invested with her two childhood best friends--Ori Williams and Marsh Crichton--in opening a boutique in Madison, Wisconsin that specializes in their combined, unique talents. When her mother dies, suddenly Bella's share of the investment dwindles to nothing, and all their plans seem in jeopardy. That is, until Bella learns she's inherited an old ruin of a house in Bloodmoon Cove. Without the financial means to otherwise go forward with their career plans, the house seems like a boon. While the town is little more than a speck on the map in Erie County, the northern Wisconsin location has some business potential considering there's nothing like what they'll be offering for an hour in any direction. The house is certainly big enough to provide not only the workshop and retail space they require, but also living space for all three of them, including Bella's younger half-brother when he visits. Bella and Marsh travel to Bloodmoon Cove to get things set up, finding only minor renovation is needed despite that the imposing tower was damaged in a lightning storm more than 50 years ago and there may be toxic mold in the attic. Bella and Marsh joke about the house being haunted because of weird disturbances, but Bella can't shake that one ghost in particular is trying desperately to communicate with her. Her great grandfather was an illegal alien who left Cuba to escape a suicidally unhappy girl with just one solace in her life… Book: https://www.writers-exchange.com/hell-hath-no-fury/ Series: https://karenwiesner.weebly.com/bloodmoon-cove-spirits-series.html ~*~ My 2024 accomplishments: -outlined 1 novel -wrote 1 novel -revised and polished 1 novel -completed editor revisions for 3 novels -had 3 novels published -read 304 books ~*~ Just in time for Christmas, I've posted a new article inspired by Dickens’ A Christmas Carol called “Beware Ignorance and Want” on the Alien Romances Blog. Check it out here: https://aliendjinnromances.blogspot.com/2024/12/beware-ignorance-and-want-by-karen-s.html On the Alien Romances Blog, I reviewed Dragon Age’s newest book anthology, Tevinter Nights, which coincides with the new videogame Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Check it out here: https://aliendjinnromances.blogspot.com/2024/12/put-this-one-on-your-tbr-list-book.html On the Alien Romances Blog I reviewed a new videogame I’ve been waiting to play for a long time, as many of you probably have, too. Check out Dragon Age: The Veilguard here: https://aliendjinnromances.blogspot.com/2024/11/put-this-one-on-your-tbr-list-videogame.html From the moment we wake up until we fall asleep, we're continuously judging everything inside, outside, and all around us not only negatively, but also positively and somewhere in-between. Is it possible to simply accept things as they come and go and view them all as experiences that shape us, hopefully for the better? In honor of Thanksgiving on the Alien Romances Blog, I talked about practicing gratitude in an article called "Daily Thanksgiving". Find it here: https://aliendjinnromances.blogspot.com/2024/11/daily-thanksgiving-by-karen-s-wiesner.html Also, on the Alien Romances Blog, I'm reviewing books I love. The lifelike characters and their very believable circumstances riveted my attention from the beginning. I admire how the characters, setting, and rising tension and supernatural terror are woven together. And I always enjoy a story that reveals the lingering influence of the past on the present. The climactic combat is very effective, and I had almost no trouble following the action (a frequent problem I have with fight scenes). Great story! It effectively stands alone, while doubtless being richer in depth for people who've read all or most of the rest of the series.” ~Margaret L.
